At a glance

According to ranges published in Switzerland in 2026, a logo costs:

Platform or online contest1,5
CHF 50 to 1’199
Freelance designer1,2,3,4
CHF 300 to 5’000
Studio or agency1,4
CHF 2’000 to more than 10’000

The gap is mostly about scope: the number of concepts and revision rounds, vector files and a written transfer of rights. Ferr Studio and Agence DGH give their ranges excluding VAT, and 99designs lists its packages excluding sales tax.1,2,5

What a logo project includes

The word “logo” covers very different services, but a serious project follows much the same steps. Before comparing prices, check which of them are included.

  • The brief: your business, your customers, your competitors and where the logo will appear.
  • The concepts: one or more distinct directions to choose from.
  • The revision rounds: feedback cycles that refine the chosen direction, in a number agreed in advance.
  • The final files: a vector format (SVG or PDF) that scales without loss for print and signage, plus PNG images for screens.
  • The variants: colour, black and white, compact or icon versions.
  • The rights: what you may do with the logo, and whether the rights are transferred to you in writing.

What a logo costs in Switzerland

There is no official price list: according to Espaces Contemporains magazine, Swiss professional associations may not set binding fee scales because of competition law.7 The figures below are estimates published by studios, agencies and one platform, and they do not always agree.

  • Platforms and contests: Ferr Studio puts logos bought on online platforms at CHF 50 to 300 excluding VAT.1 On the Swiss site of 99designs, logo contest packages range from CHF 279 to CHF 1’199, excluding sales tax.5
  • Freelancers: according to specialpage.ch, freelancers in Switzerland charge CHF 400 to 1’500.3 Ferr Studio separates junior profiles (CHF 300 to 1’500) from experienced freelancers (CHF 1’500 to 3’000).1 Agence DGH puts a logo on its own, from an independent designer or a very small studio, at CHF 1’500 to 3’500 excluding tax.2
  • Studios and agencies: Ferr Studio gives CHF 2’000 to 5’000 for a studio or small agency, and CHF 3’000 to more than 10’000 for an established agency.1 Alchemy Zürich places a logo built on strategy work at CHF 5’000 to 8’000.4
  • Complete visual identity: Agence DGH estimates CHF 6’000 to 15’000 excluding tax for an SME.2 Ferr Studio gives CHF 2’000 to 4’000 with a freelancer and CHF 8’000 to 20’000 with a branding agency.1

What makes prices vary

The sources diverge clearly, especially for freelancers: Alchemy Zürich puts experienced freelancers and small studios at CHF 2’000 to 5’000, well above the specialpage.ch range.4 The gap is mostly about scope. A logo on its own is not the same as a logo with research, variants and usage rules.

On time spent, the Swiss Design Association’s 2025 study, a non-random survey of 560 designers, reports a median flat hourly rate of CHF 130.6 Fees rise mainly with seniority and responsibility: CHF 121 for junior and CHF 160 for senior designers.6

These choices move a quote up or down. With a tight budget, Agence DGH advises reducing the scope rather than the quality.2

  • Scope: a logo alone, or a logo with a palette, typefaces, guidelines and templates.
  • Research: market and competitor analysis, interviews, positioning. According to Agence DGH, this groundwork often accounts for 20 to 30% of a branding budget.2
  • Number of concepts and revision rounds: each direction and each round takes time.
  • Where the logo will be used: according to Alchemy Zürich, the more applications there are (print, vehicles, clothing), the more a logo system with several variants matters.4
  • Rights: a full, exclusive transfer, or a simple licence to use.
  • Deadline: according to specialpage.ch, some freelancers offer rush delivery for a surcharge.3

Preparing your quote request

The more precise your request, the easier the quotes are to compare. Have this ready before you write to a provider.

  • Your business, your customers and what sets you apart, in a few sentences.
  • The exact name to appear in the logo, with any tagline or place name.
  • Where it will be used: website, social media, business cards, signage, vehicles, packaging.
  • A few examples you like and a few you don’t, with the reason.
  • Existing material: a previous logo, required colours, photos.
  • An indicative budget and the date you need the files by.

Comparing quotes and spotting warning signs

To compare two offers, Agence DGH suggests checking five points: the number of creative directions, the feedback rounds included, the exact list of deliverables, ownership of the source files and a dated schedule.2

According to Alchemy Zürich, a cheap logo can end up costing more if it has to be replaced: new business cards, vehicle lettering, website changes and social media profiles.4 Check for these signs before you order.

  • No questions about your business before the drawing starts.
  • A price with no list of deliverables and no number of concepts or revision rounds.
  • Files supplied only as PNG or JPG, with no vector version. specialpage.ch counts an SVG file as part of the minimum.3
  • Nothing in writing about rights. According to specialpage.ch, copyright is not transferred automatically in Switzerland, and the blog advises having the transfer confirmed in writing.3
  • An offer far below the others, with no explanation. According to Agence DGH, it usually delivers correspondingly less.2

How our logo offer works

Our offer

Our custom logo is a fixed-scope offer, paid once. Its final price in CHF is on the service page; Goodbye Internet is not registered for VAT.

  • Two concepts, then two revision rounds to refine the direction you choose.
  • Final files in SVG, PNG and PDF.
  • Full payment when you order, by card or TWINT through Stripe. You can request an invoice from the studio.
  • A delivery deadline set when payment opens, 14 calendar days later, and shown before you pay.
  • A private brief after payment: your business, audience, preferences and references, with your existing materials attached.
  • Your feedback in writing. An additional revision is billed by the hour at the rate in the terms, and only with your prior written agreement.

Rights, cancellation and larger projects

Our offer

Economic rights to the logo and its source files transfer to you once full payment is received. We may show the project in our public portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing before delivery. Third-party elements, such as a licensed typeface, remain under their own licences, which we share at delivery.

If you cancel before work begins, you receive a full refund within 5 working days, with no conditions and no reason required. After work begins, hours already worked are due in proportion to the time spent, and you receive a clear record of those hours before the unused balance is refunded.

For a complete identity (colours, typefaces, visual rules), we prepare a quote that sets out scope, deliverables, revisions and timeline. The Launch package combines the Entreprise website, a custom logo and Google Business setup.

Questions

What budget should a small business plan for a logo?

According to specialpage.ch, most Swiss SMEs can get a professional logo for CHF 500 to 2’500.3 Alchemy Zürich puts a professional logo at CHF 2’000 to 8’000.4 Decide on the scope you need first, then compare like with like.

How many concepts and revision rounds are normal?

According to specialpage.ch, two to three directions and two to three revision rounds are standard, and fewer than two rounds is a bad sign.3 What matters is that the number is written in the offer, along with the cost of an extra round.

How long does a logo project take?

According to specialpage.ch, a project with a Swiss freelancer usually takes one to three weeks, revision rounds included.3 Alchemy Zürich counts two to four weeks with a freelancer, and four to eight for a studio that starts with strategy work.4 How quickly you give feedback matters too.

Do the prices quoted include VAT?

Not always: Ferr Studio and Agence DGH give their ranges excluding VAT, and 99designs lists its packages excluding sales tax.1,2,5 Ask for the final amount. Goodbye Internet is not registered for VAT, so the price on the service page is the final price.

How do I protect my logo as a trade mark?

In Switzerland, you apply to register a trade mark with the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI). The IPI does not examine whether your mark infringes the rights of others when it registers it, and advises searching before you apply.8 Do this early, before you approve the final version.
